Some of you I know, but for anyone who is new here or who I don’t personally know, I’m Jenny. I’m a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) and passionate about so many things in the health and wellness space. I work full-time as an elementary school technology teacher and my most important job of all is being a mom to my two sons ~ a job I love and cherish each day! 💙
I’m trying a new approach this year for my business aspirations. I want you to get to know me. While I love gorgeous photos on Instagram, sometimes life is messy and I’m going to do my best to be real and share real life with you. Here’s the thing… I think too much. I get hung up on thinking why would anyone want see that? Or hear that from me? After some much needed inspirational talks from friends like my friend Carolyn from Ancestral Approach, Amie from Rebelle Nutrition, and Mickey Prescott from Autoimmune Wellness, I’m going to do my best to just share what feels right (without over-sharing) and hope for the best. 👍
A little bit about my story… Over the past several years, I’ve been trying to “figure out” my own health issues. Learning that I had Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis was what propelled me down my healing journey. This journey has taught me so much about life, my body, my health, patience, gratitude, strength, perspective, and because of this, with each day I am open to continued learning and healing. 🙌
Real food nutrition, exercise and lifestyle changes have impacted my autoimmune condition the most. This was when I decided to go back to school (again), and become certified as an NTP. My learning here grew tenfold and I met some remarkable humans at the same time. My most recent challenge has been a Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnosis, which seemed absurd to be honest, based on all of the healing I had done. Nonetheless, this brought me more tests in life and continued learning and growth. 💪
One of my biggest take-aways along the way has been how mindset affects wellbeing. Mindset is where it’s at my friends. If we’re not willing to love and accept ourselves, any changes we make to nutrition, exercise, sleep and stress will certainly help, but true healing comes with mindset changes. We need to meet ourselves where we’re at and go from there. 💕
Fun facts about me:
- I love the beach.
- I love yoga.
- I love teaching people (and kids)
- I love classic rock.
- I love it when kids teach me new things.
Here’s to a year of continued healing, growth and learning through connecting with others and accepting ourselves for where we are right at this very moment. 🙏
I am looking forward to connecting with you. Feel free to share a thought with me and introduce yourself!
