We make tuna salad pretty regularly around here. The boys even like it lettuce-wrapped, like mom has it, which is awesome! I whipped up a batch last week and added a couple of secret ingredients that made it taste so delicious!
- 1 can wild tuna, in olive oil or water
- 1/2-1 carrot, peeled and finely diced
- 2 slices of cooked bacon, broken up into small bits
- 1-2 TB avocado mayo, I use this brand
- salt + pepper to taste
Drain any amount of oil or water from tuna to your preference. Place tuna in a mixing bowl. Add the diced carrot, bacon, mayo, salt and pepper and mix well with a fork. Add any additional salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy on lettuce wraps or grain free chips.
